Welcome to the Downes Media FAQ! Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about how we work, what to expect, and the policies we follow to keep your experience smooth and professional.
Q: Do I need to pay before the shoot?
A: Yes. We ask that sessions are paid in full before we begin. This helps us reserve your date, lock in production time, and give your project the priority it deserves. For established clients, we can offer Net 30 terms by agreement.

Q: What’s your turnaround time?
A: For most standard shoots, we deliver your final imagery within 48 hours, it’s one of the ways we help make projects easier and more predictable. If a shoot is larger or more complex, the timeline may need a little more time, and we will always talk through the schedule with you upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

Q: What if I’m not happy with the photos?
A: We do our best to make things right when something misses the mark. Complimentary reshoots may be available on a limited basis and are approved by our management team. To be considered, please let us know within 48 hours of receiving your final images. Refunds may also be available on a case by case basis, depending on the situation.

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule my shoot?
A: If you need to cancel, we will issue a full credit that can be applied to a future session. If you would rather reschedule, that is absolutely fine too. Please note that if any food products have been purchased or can’t be reused, the replacement cost may affect the total for the rescheduled shoot.

Q: Can I use the photos however I want?
A: You’ll receive a license to use the images for the purposes listed in your shoot contract. Downes Media retains ownership of the imagery unless otherwise specified. Please don’t resell or distribute our work beyond the agreed terms.

A: You’ll receive a license to use the images for the purposes outlined in your shoot contract. Downes Media retains ownership of the imagery unless we agree otherwise in writing. We simply ask that the images aren’t resold or shared beyond the approved terms, and if you ever need expanded usage, just let us know and we’ll make it easy.
